ATTENTION: The Fiberdays are postponed to 17th/18th March 2021!

Lüdenscheid, March 2020 - intec, measurement technology specialist from Lüdenscheid, Germany, will this year present its multifunctional ARGUS® testers at the Fiberdays in Wiesbaden, Germany's leading fiber event.

Devices such as the ARGUS® 166 and ARGUS® 163 are equally suitable for the daily installation of broadband connections on both copper and fibre basis thanks to their integrated SFP slots. With the GPON option, the ARGUS® can be upgraded - even subsequently - to a fully-fledged GPON tester. The ARGUS® replaces the customer's ONT and allows speed and triple play tests directly on the fibre. It determines the OLT port from the PON ID and the separate GPON trace reveals authentication problems. The PON level and attenuation measurement allows irregularities in the fiber optic cabling to be quickly detected.

The ARGUS® Optical Power Meter in SFP form factor was developed for high-precision measurements of the optical level at various wavelengths and also allows the level value to be stored directly in the device.

With enhancements such as the Optical Fault Finder or additional SFP sticks for FTTx (Active Ethernet), the ARGUS® testers are even more future-proof and flexible in use and are therefore ideally equipped for all testing challenges.

In addition, the robust, handy and intuitively operable measuring instruments are ideally suited for troubleshooting on copper twisted pairs, networks and WLAN. The portfolio of xDSL interfaces includes ADSL, SHDSL, G.fast (up to 212 MHz), VDSL2 Annex Q (Profile 35b, Super Vectoring) and VDSL2 bonding (35b). Furthermore, ETH performance tests at GigE level (1 Gbit/s) such as Loop, Traffic Generator and RFC2544 are also possible on fiber optic interfaces.
