Lüdenscheid, November 2025 – intec Gesellschaft für Informationstechnik mbH, German innovation leader in the field of telecommunications measurement technology, presents the new Wi-Fi 7 module for the ARGUS® tester family. With this addition, intec is expanding its product range with a solution that enables technicians to get started with the next generation of WLAN today.
Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) is becoming the new standard for carriers, ISPs, industrial facilities, and smart buildings. With the new module, ARGUS® testers can comprehensively analyze this technology—from commissioning to fault diagnosis. It supports key Wi-Fi 7 functions and the use of available frequency bands (2.4/5/6 GHz). This allows WLAN connections in complex environments to be precisely measured and evaluated.
The 320 MHz channel bandwidth enables high data rates, which are ideal for high-performance networks in offices, fiber optic environments, and industrial uses. Thanks to powerful hardware, speed tests with several Gbit/s are possible.
As usual, the solution remains fully backward compatible with all previous WLAN standards. This means that ARGUS® testers can also be used in mixed networks and are ideally equipped to meet the increasing demands placed on wireless communication systems.
In addition, the following security and operating modes are covered: WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Personal & Enterprise, open (without encryption), Enhanced Open (OWE).
“With the integration of Wi-Fi 7 into our ARGUS® testers, we are setting a new standard in WLAN measurement technology,” says Markus Tix, Managing Director of intec GmbH. “Our customers benefit from future-proof technology that can already be used in practice today – made in Germany and with a direct focus on the requirements of modern network environments.”
The new Wi-Fi 7 module is now available for all ARGUS® 300, 260, F300, and F240 devices that have the option of speed tests up to 10 Gbit/s.
