Optical Light Source (OLS)

Together with the Optical Power Meter, the Optical Light Source forms an Optical Test Kit. The Optical Light Source transmits an identifier that the Optical Power Meter (OPM) can detect and evaluate. It always transmits with the same, fixed transmission power. The ARGUS® 300 and ARGUS® 260 automatically detect the wavelength at which it is transmitting. The Optical Power Meter then displays the attenuation. The Optical Light Source can switch through the wavelengths one after the other.
