Luedenscheid, September 2018 – intec, Europe‘s leading supplier of xDSL, Ethernet and IP measurement technology, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this month.

Founded on 29 September 1988, the focus at the beginning was on order development and own products such as a patented G3/G4 fax converter, the TK310 PBX or ISDN PC cards. But soon a specialization on high-quality telecommunication measuring devices took place and with the introduction of the ARGUS 1 in 1997 a success story began that still continues today.

With its ARGUS testers, intec GmbH has accompanied the development of technologies such as ISDN and POTS, ADSL2/2+ up to VDSL2 profile 35b or FTTx right from the start, thus making a contribution to digitalization in Germany and Europe. Due to the continuous further development of the multifunctional, handy and intuitively operable measuring devices, users are prepared for all challenges of daily testing.

Until now, more than 100,000 ARGUS testers have been sold, which are used by network operators such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Telefonica, KPN, A1 Telekom Austria and many other companies worldwide and offer a bandwidth of interfaces like no other tester on the market.

Due to the triumphal march of the internet, which began at the end of the 1990s, and the consequent increase in need for bandwidth, the demand for new measurement technology became ever greater. This was the basis for the success of the ARGUS testers, which was also accompanied by the greater demand for office and storage space as well as the growth in the number of employees. To this day, intec GmbH has remained a medium-sized company that attaches great importance to regional production, sales and logistics from a single source as well as comprehensive service and support for its customers.
