For the ARGUS triple play combi testers ARGUS 165, ARGUS 155, ARGUS 152, ARGUS 145 plus and ARGUS 142 but also for the xDSL tester ARGUS 141, a new firmware is available: The new firmware (version 1.10, respectively 2.30) again offers many new functions and improvements for the above mentioned types of ARGUS testers.
After updating it is now possible to configure up to 100 user-defined accesses or to download a set of pre-defined accesses with all provider specific settings you need to the ARGUS. The new access wizard eases to set the different access parameters. Additionally, now you are able to add an individual note for every access. The note and other important settings are shown in a preview when selecting as single access. Moreover you can link one of the known user-defined profiles (profiles with the layer 2/3 settings) with each access.

Also new functions for the new ARGUS Copper Box (the ARGUS cable multimeter (DMM/DVOM) expansion) have been added. One of them is an auto-test which automatically measures DC and AC voltage as well as the capacitance and the isolation resistance of the subscriber line, across tip (a), ring (b) and ground. Furthermore the ARGUS Copper Box supports now a NEXT (Near-End Crosstalk) measurement and even allows you to use the Copper Box in parallel to the DSL mode of the ARGUS tester. This saves time when measuring the physical parameters of the line on the customer side as well as the DSL parameters on the exchange side at the same time.
In addition the new firmware enables the ARGUS to use the well-known VoIP test mode in connection with the new and more powerful IPv6 protocol. Therefore ARGUS now routes VoIP traffic (e. g. VoIP call) via IPv6 as you know it from the ARGUS data tests like IP ping and IP traceroute.
Beside all this new features, there is a multiplicity of many other time and cost saving improvements and optimizations.
