Lüdenscheid, June 2022 - intec, the measurement technology specialist from Lüdenscheid, will be represented again this year at Fiberdays in Wiesbaden, Germany's leading trade fair for all aspects of future-proof fiber optics. At the event organized by the BREKO association (Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e. V.), fiber measurement technology optimally tailored to service providers will be presented in addition to the ARGUS® brand multifunction testers.

For example, the new selective Triple OPM is specially designed to simultaneously measure the levels of GPON and XGS-PON, read out the PON ID and perform a complete ONT simulation with IP and performance tests.

Measurement devices such as ARGUS® 300, ARGUS® 260, ARGUS® 166 and ARGUS® 163 can be quickly and easily expanded with many additional fiber test solutions thanks to their SFP slot: these include fiber-based Ethernet (PtP), PON-FMT and GPON terminal mode (ONT), the highly accurate ARGUS® Optical Power Meter and the Optical Fault Finder. A Fiber Inspection Tool is also available for ARGUS® 300 and ARGUS® 260, which detects scratches and defects on optical fibers and displays them as video images as well as in tabular form.

"With these versatile and easily retrofittable fiber testing solutions, our customers are well equipped for future requirements, even in fiber optic networks," says Dennis Zoppke, Product Manager at intec. "With regular upgrades and expansions of our product range, we keep up with the rapid changes in the market and always offer flexible and future-proof measurement technology."

The two new fiber multifunction testers ARGUS® 300 and ARGUS® 260 will also be presented, which feature a touch display that combines intuitive operation with familiar ARGUS® menu navigation. In addition, an innovative internal help function supports the interpretation of test results.

The ARGUS® 300, which won 1st place in the measurement category of the 2021 ICT Product of the Year awards, comes with many additional interfaces and test functions on request, such as ADSL, VDSL, SHDSL, Super Vectoring, Bonding, G.fast (106 + 212 MHz), 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, OTDR, WLAN, Copper, TDR and RFL. Triple play tests such as VoIP, IPTV and data tests in the form of upload/download, iperf or Ookla® speed tests are also possible via the interfaces.

Thanks to extremely powerful hardware, tests up to 10 Gigabit/s can be performed in the Gigabit Ethernet range. The ARGUS® 300 generates and loops traffic for tests and evaluations according to RFC 2544 or Y.1564.

Last, but not least, new to the product range: the new ARGUS® WLAN Analyzer, which can be used to display channel utilization in tabular and graphical form.
