Lüdenscheid, March 2026 – intec Gesellschaft für Informationstechnik mbH will be presenting its ARGUS® F series at Fiberdays 2026 in Frankfurt—a family of measuring devices specially developed to increase efficiency in fiber optic services.
Fiber optic expansion continues at full speed. Installation pressure, tight time frames, and increasing quality requirements characterize the everyday work of service technicians. Every minute counts, and every mistake causes additional costs. This is exactly where the ARGUS® F series comes in: it combines several measurement and test functions in one device, simplifies testing processes, and supports structured, traceable documentation directly on site.
With a boot time of only 16 seconds, a clear tile menu, and integrated direct tests, the F-Series enables fast and intuitive measurement start-up. Installations can be completed more quickly, errors can be located immediately, and second trips can be avoided.
Three devices, one goal: more efficient service processes
The ARGUS® F series includes the F200, F240, and F300 models, which cover different requirements in everyday FTTH operations.
The ARGUS® F200 enables selective level measurements in GPON and XGS-PON networks, even during operation. In addition to the classic PON wavelengths, it also detects the 1550 nm wavelength for a video overlay, enabling reliable evaluation of all relevant signals—even during mixed operation of GPON, XGS-PON, and video in a PON.
The ARGUS® F240 expands these functions to include comprehensive IP and performance tests up to 10 Gbit/s. In addition to triple-play tests, it supports WLAN analyses up to Wi-Fi 7 as well as high-performance speed tests, making it ideal for activating and accepting fiber optic connections in a single step.
In addition to the functions of the F240, the ARGUS® F300 is the only device in the world that combines an OTDR with a selective OPM and also integrates ONT simulation and performance tests. Faults can be precisely located and connections checked directly after connection – without changing devices.
Documentation, flexibility, and practicality
With the ARGUS® Mobile App, measurement results can be transferred and processed directly. This facilitates structured documentation and transfer to network operators or clients.
A fiber inspection tool can be connected as an option, which checks the cut surface of a fiber optic cable for scratches and defects and displays the results as a video image and in tabular form. The F-series devices can be optionally expanded to form an optical loss test set (OLTS), enabling precise evaluation of signal losses. An integrated SFP slot offers additional flexibility, for example for use in Active Ethernet structures.
Robust construction and quality “Made in Germany” ensure reliable performance in demanding everyday FTTH applications.
