The ARGUS 152 and ARGUS 155 Combi Testers from intec are bound to impress thanks to the latest DSL technology, such as VDSL2 Vectoring, and with Gigabit Ethernet interfaces as standard.

Luedenscheid, March 2013 – This year intec will be appearing at the CeBIT trade show for the 15th time, where it will be presenting the latest functions of its ARGUS DSL Combi Testers: The new ARGUS 152 and ARGUS 155 models feature a DSL chip set that is even more powerful than before for precise test results and quick analyses. The chip set also supports VDSL2 Vectoring. The integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface offers download speeds of up to 200 Mbit/s.

With the ARGUS 152 ADSL+VDSL Combi Tester you also have the option of using several advanced copper test functions to assess line quality. As the word "Combi" in the product name suggests, the conventional ISDN (BRI S/T/U) and POTS interfaces and test functions have not fallen by the wayside.

As for the ARGUS 155 xDSL Combi Tester, this model manages to combine VDSL2, ADSL (Annex A+B+J+L+M), SHDSL (2-, 4-, 8-wire), Gigabit Ethernet, ISDN BRI S/T/U, PRI/E1 and POTS interfaces in a single measurement device.

Other functions available with the ARGUS 165 - a true all-rounder

In addition to featuring ADSL, SHDSL and VDSL2 Vectoring, the ARGUS 165 allows you to use various Gigabit Ethernet interfaces at the same time (Dual GigE). That is why this tester offers two 1000BT ports - two SFP ports can also be provided if required. Thanks to the loop and traffic generator, end-to-end tests can be performed in accordance with RFC 2544. By using specific SFP modules, tests can be carried out directly on various fiber optic links.

Optional triple play test functions (VoIP, IPTV and data services) are available for all the devices over xDSL, FTTH and Gigabit Ethernet. The new product range also supports Ethernet cabling tests as standard, enabling you to pinpoint cabling errors in a LAN.

If necessary, these ARGUS Combi Testers can be expanded considerably simply by connecting the new compact ARGUS Copper Box via USB. As a result, measurement technicians are able to measure all the key physical quantities of the local loop quickly and automatically. This includes the voltage, current, isolation resistance, capacitance, symmetry, and much more besides.

The experts from intec will be happy to demonstrate the products and to answer any questions at the company's trade show booth (Hall 13, Booth D58).
