Get your ARGUS ready for the future and expand it with the new Optical Loss Test Set (OLTS). An OLTS calculates the signal loss (attenuation) in fiber optic cables and evaluates the quality of data transmission. It enables precise calculations of optical attenuation in both directions to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting in fiber optic networks. The OLTS is available for the ARGUS 300, 260, F300, F240 and F200 devices with 3xOPM. For ARGUS 300, 260 and 163, the ARGUS Optical Power Meter is also required. The OLTS enables level measurement for an adjustable wavelength with attenuation calculation in relation to a reference value. The Optical Light Source is available with either two (1310 & 1550 nm) or four wavelengths (1310, 1490, 1550 & 1625 nm).

The video shows how to set up the Optical Loss Test connection and then carry out a measurement. The ARGUS automatically recognizes the wavelength, measures the signal loss and displays the values clearly.
