Lüdenscheid, May 2022 - intec, the leading European supplier of telecommunications measurement technology, will once again present its ARGUS® brand multifunction testers at ANGA COM in Cologne this year, Europe's leading business platform for broadband and content providers.

For the first time, the new selective Triple OPM will be presented at the show, which can simultaneously measure the levels of GPON and XGS-PON, read out the PON ID and perform a full ONT simulation with IP and performance tests.

In addition, the ARGUS® 260 and ARGUS® 300 fiber multifunction testers will be presented, among others - the latter took 1st place in the measurement category of the 2021 ICT Product of the Year awards.

Thanks to their SFP slots, measurement devices such as the ARGUS® 300, ARGUS® 260, ARGUS® 166 and ARGUS® 163 can be expanded with fiber-based Ethernet (PtP), PON installation test and GPON terminal mode (ONT), the high-precision ARGUS® Optical Power Meter and the Optical Fault Finder, among others, and are thus ideally equipped to meet future requirements in fiber optic networks as well.

The ARGUS® 300 multifunction tester (just like the ARGUS® 260) features a touch display that combines intuitive operation with familiar ARGUS® menu navigation. An innovative internal help function supports the interpretation of the test results. An OTDR as well as a fiber inspection tool can also be used to examine optical connectors. The ARGUS® 300 also has many other optional interfaces and test functions, such as ADSL, VDSL, Super Vectoring, Bonding, G.fast (106 + 212 MHz), 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, Copper, TDR and RFL. Triple play tests such as VoIP, IPTV and data tests in the form of upload/download, iperf or Ookla® speed tests are also possible via the interfaces. The new ARGUS® WLAN Analyzer displays channel utilization in tabular and graphical form.

Thanks to extremely powerful hardware, tests up to 10 Gigabit/s can be performed in the Gigabit Ethernet range. The ARGUS® 300 generates and loops traffic for tests and evaluations according to RFC 2544 or Y.1564.
